We are recruiting an experienced Complex Care Support Worker / Clinical Support Worker / Care Assistant to provide 1:1 care for a gentleman in his 40s living in his own home in Devizes, Wiltshire. This role involves supporting an individual with an acquired spinal injury and complex clinical needs, including:

  • Tetraplegia
  • Epilepsy management
  • Autonomic dysreflexia
  • Tracheostomy care
  • Personal care and mobility support

This is a specialist home care position ideal for candidates with experience in spinal injury care, neurological conditions, tracheostomy support, and waking night care roles.

Key Responsibilities – Complex Care & Clinical Support

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred complex care
  • Support with personal care and moving & handling (hoist use)
  • Administer medication and monitor health conditions
  • Provide tracheostomy care and airway management
  • Monitor and respond to seizures (epilepsy support)
  • Maintain accurate care records and clinical documentation
  • Provide emotional support and companionship
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and family

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience as a Complex Care Support Worker, Care Assistant, or Clinical Support Worker
  • Experience supporting spinal injury, neurological conditions, or tracheostomy care (preferred)
  • Confidence working independently in a client’s home
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable approach
  • Ability to manage clinical situations calmly
