Role Overview: We are offering an opportunity for female carers/support workers to join our new client in Ashford as a Personal Assistant. Our client is in her late 60's with a Brain Injury following a road traffic accident. She is a wheelchair user and has cognitive impairments which require support for day to day activities and routines.
Due to the location and responsibilities of the role, it is essential you have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:- Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
- Support/prompting with medication
- Taking our client out in the community and to appointments
- Providing emotional support and companionship
- Supporting with moving and handling, mobility and physical activities
- Previous experience within a similar role, ideally supporting clients with complex needs
- Experience and/or knowledge of brain injuries
- A valid UK driving licence essential due to location and nature of the role
- A caring and compassionate nature
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
