Location: Kingsteignton, Devon (near TQ12 3AF)
Hours: Minimum 48 hours per month + additional holiday cover
Shift Pattern: 24-hour shifts (08:00–08:00) including sleep-in shift
Accommodation: Staff ensuite bedroom provided
Salary: £14.79 per hour
About The Role:
- Provide 1:1 care in the client’s home and during community activities
- Support daily routines (including some assistance with showering)
- Attend local day centre (board games, cooking, social activities)
- Assist with food shopping, meal planning, and cooking together
- Support attendance at rehab therapies (trekking, hydrotherapy – no pool entry required)
- Accompany client to family visits, gym, cafés, and restaurants
- Care for client’s pets (cat and two snakes – snake handling not essential)
- Overnight support is minimal, focused on fall prevention and safety
- Participate in personal and group supervision sessions
About You:
- Experienced in brain injury support
- Confident managing complexity and occasional challenging behaviour
- Dynamic, physically capable and engaging – able to make activities fun
- Resilient, calm, kind and assertive with clear professional boundaries
- Comfortable covering 24-hour shifts including overnight care
- Full UK driving licence and ability to drive an automatic car (vehicle provided)

- Client uses an electronic wheelchair (no hoists required)
