Location: St Austell, Cornwall

Pay: Monday to Saturday £14.70, Sunday £15.23

Shifts: 5 nights per week, 9:30pm-7:30am

We are seeking an experienced Female Care Assistant to provide 1:1 overnight care for a young child with complex clinical needs in their family home. Complex Care Training Provided for the right person.

This role is ideal for a carer with experience in healthcare or complex care and is looking to build on their skills, work consistent night shifts, and be part of a highly supportive specialist care team.

You will receive ongoing clinical training, competency refreshers, and continuous support — you'll never be expected to work beyond your training or without backup.

Clinical Needs You'll Support (With Ongoing Training)

  • Respiratory support including nightly BiPAP
  • Epilepsy and seizure management
  • PEG feeding and nutrition
  • Medication administration (including nebulisers)
  • Oxygen therapy (PRN)
  • Airway and respiratory management

Your Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality, person-centred 1:1 overnight care
  • Monitoring respiratory status and responding appropriately
  • Safe medication administration
  • Managing seizures and providing reassurance
  • Supporting comfort, positioning, and personal care
  • Maintaining accurate records and night-time observations
  • Creating a calm, safe, and attentive environment

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Care Assistant, HCA, or Support Worker
  • Happy to be trained in complex needs
  • A calm, compassionate, and professional approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and high-quality care
  • A full UK driving licence is preferred
