Salary Range: This range is provided by Libertatem Healthcare. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base Pay Range Location: Birmingham

Job Type: Zero-hour contract with set shifts or bank options available. Shifts: 12 hour day shifts, 7 days per week. Night shifts also available.

Role Overview: We are offering an opportunity for experienced and dedicated Spinal Injury Support Workers to join our new client in Birmingham, working on a 2:1 ratio. To support their independence and lifestyle, we’re seeking support workers who are confident, empathetic, and capable of building a strong, trusting relationship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
  • Catheter Care & Bowel Management
  • Respiratory Management (cough assist/suctioning)
  • Autonomic Dysreflexia Management
  • Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition
  • Administering medication (training provided)
  • Providing emotional support and companionship
  • Supporting with mobility and physical activities
  • Light housekeeping duties

Qualifications / What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience within a similar role, supporting clients with Spinal Injury, catheter care and bowel management
  • A caring and compassionate nature
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A valid UK driving licence essential to drive the WAV during shifts
