Registered Nurse – Bank Cover

Hourly Pay: £26.50 – £28.00

Location: Attleborough, Norfolk

Day Shift: 12 hour shifts 8am-8pm.

Due to role responsibilities, you must have a full UK driving licence.

About the Client:
Our client is a 28-year-old female with severe epilepsy, autism & learning disabilities. She has a gastrostomy, a feeding tube and a PEG for medication. She requires oral suctioning and medication to control seizures.

She requires support with toileting, washing and dressing.

Her favourite activities include baking, jigsaw puzzles, walks, eating out in pubs and cafes, swimming and going to the beach.

Two friendly Labradors share the family home, so successful applicants must be comfortable in a household with dogs.

We have a robust and in-depth onboarding process, where as a new employee, you’ll first complete your training and paid induction. As part of your induction, you will shadow another member of your team. This helps you understand your new role and get to know people in your team.

Your colleagues and management team will work with you during your induction to help you put your training into practice and answer any questions you may have. You’ll start building your own support network from day one – this will include your management team, colleagues and departments at Group Support.

You will be spending your time with our clients within their own home where you will be supporting with their daily routine.

Your day-to-day activities may include:

• Non-invasive Ventilation

• Enteral Feeding

• Suctioning

• Medication

• Oxygen Therapy

• Seizure Management

About you

You must be a qualified Nurse, and hold current NMC registration. We are looking for passionate individuals, with the desire to go above and beyond. You will be expected to utilize skills and experience to meet the high delivery of care to clients with complex health needs within the client\’s home.

That’s why, if you have a caring personality and some relevant experience, we’ll give you access to online and classroom training in specific complex care needs.

Depending on the client, you may be working on your own or part of a team. If you wish and have the availability, you could provide to support more than one client.

Before you start, you’ll have the chance to meet your client and their family. And when you do, you’ll have day-to-day support with a Care Co-ordinator or Nurse Manager always on hand to answer your questions. You’ll also be able to access our ‘Carer App’ which is a fantastic source of insight and information. In short, we’ll give you all you need to get the most out of this rewarding and fulfilling role.
