Job Type: Zero-hour contract
Shifts: 8.30am-8.30pm, 7 days per week. 8.30pm-8.30am waking and sleeping night shifts, 7 nights per week. Full time/part time hours available.

Role Overview: We are offering an opportunity for experienced and dedicated Spinal Injury Support Workers to join our new client in Port Talbot, working on a 2:1 ratio. Our client is a fun-loving male in his early 20’s with a brilliant sense of humour and a passion for football—proudly cheering for both Cardiff City FC and Chelsea. He’s an adrenaline enthusiast who enjoys skiing, surfing, and zip-wiring. Our client has complex needs such as dystonia, dysphagia, and a PEG, plus allergies which require epi pens. To support his independence and lifestyle, we’re seeking support workers who are confident, empathetic, and capable of building a strong, trusting relationship, preferably via humour!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
- PEG feeding and medication
- Assisting with hydrotherapy physio
- Supporting with nutrition
- Administering medication (training provided)
- Providing emotional support and companionship
- Supporting with moving and handling, mobility and physical activities
- Light housekeeping duties
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience within a similar role, ideally supporting clients with complex needs.
- Experience and/or knowledge of PEG, dystonia and dysphagia
- A valid UK driving licence essential to drive during shift.
- A caring and compassionate nature
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
