About The Role

Join Our Team as a Complex Care Support Worker – Make a Real Difference!

Are you looking for a rewarding and engaging role in complex clinical care? We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a femalesupport worker to work alongside our client with complex needs in Merthyr Tydfil, county Borough.

Pay: £15.14 per hour weekdays, £16.22 per hour Saturdays & £17.30 per hour Sundays.

Hours: Full or part-time -36 hours per week available (1x 24 hour & 1x 12 hour shift per week)

About the Role

You’ll be supporting a young man in his 20's who has complex needs due to a brain injury, including cerebral palsy, epilepsy and mobility issues. We're looking for someone with experience in complex care and the ability to build a strong, supportive relationship through clear communication and empathy.

He lives at home with his mum, her partner and the clients dog, enjoys an active social life with his friends and attends church. Your role will be to support him physically and emotionally, helping him live life to the fullest.

What We’re Looking For

Due to the client's needs, we’re seeking a female support worker with:

  • A genuine passion for care and making a difference
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
  • Reliable, committed, and flexible approach
  • Experience in complex care and managing challenging behaviours
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

You’ll need to be confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to build a trusting relationship with the client and her family.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring condition
  • Support with daily/nightly routines
  • Assist with personal hygiene and mobility
  • Administer medication and monitor health
  • Provide emotional support and companionship
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members
