Complex Care Support Worker – Lincoln
We are seeking dedicated support workers to join our team for our new client in Lincoln. Our client is a 13-year-old male with an optic nerve tumour, seizures and is blind. He has a hydrocephalus shunt, an NG tube and whilst he can walk, uses a wheelchair due to fatigue.
Previous experience supporting teenagers desirable.
Hours available
Monday – Friday – 3-hour morning shifts & 3-hour evening shifts. Weekend shifts and holiday cover, plus night shifts available once the day shifts have started.
Pay
£16 per hour weekdays, £17 per hour when weekend shifts are available.
Full UK Drivers Licence with Business Insurance required
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering personalised care routines.
- Assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
- Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
- Encouraging and joining in with activities.
- Providing emotional support and companionship.
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role working with brain injuries, seizures and individuals who are blind.
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care.
- UK Full Driving Licence required (25Yrs old + for insurance purposes to drive clients WAV)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work the specified hours.
