At Liberis, our mission is to empower small and medium-sized businesses by removing finance as a friction to growth, delivering contextual, embedded financial solutions to support merchants at every stage of their business lifecycle. As a marketing team, our job is to deliver best in class communications and frictionless customer journeys. We are looking for a highly technical Marketing Automation Manager to architect and evolve the systems powering our customer communications.
Sitting at the intersection of marketing, data, and engineering, you won’t be executing daily campaigns. Instead, you will build the underlying data architecture, integrate tools, and design scalable automation logic centred heavily around Braze. If you are a builder who loves connecting systems and structuring data to make personalisation work at scale, this role is for you.
- Serve as the technical owner of our lifecycle marketing infrastructure, acting as the primary architect for our Braze instance.
- Design Data Flows: Architect and maintain reliable, event-driven data flows between Salesforce and Braze.
- Build Automation: Implement complex automation logic using APIs, webhooks, Liquid templating, and dynamic content across email, SMS, and in-product messaging.
- Work with Data: Query customer and event data using SQL to enable accurate segmentation, investigate discrepancies, and structure data for personalisation.
- Bridge the Gap: Translate marketing requirements into technical implementations, collaborating with engineering to build internal tools and eliminate operational bottlenecks.
Strong technical understanding of marketing automation, event-based customer data models, and system integrations (APIs, webhooks, Zapier, Make). Technical Fluency: Comfortable navigating our technical toolkit, which includes JSON, Liquid templating, HTML/CSS, tools like Postman, and basic scripting (JavaScript, Python, or similar). Note: You do not need to be a software engineer, but you must be technically fluent, comfortable owning systems, and able to build solutions independently.
Our hybrid approach: Working together in person helps us move faster, collaborate better, and build a great Liberis culture. Our hybrid working policy requires team members to be in the office at least 3 days a week, but ideally 4 days. At Liberis, we embrace flexibility as a core part of our culture, while also valuing the importance of the time our teams spend together in the office.
