The provision of a comprehensive accounting service supporting the Senior Operational Management that facilitates the decision-making process related to business directions, and the achievement of Liberata business plans and goals including financial planning, analysis and strategy to support the desired growth ambitions of the Liberata business plans and goals.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for the financial reviewing and reporting at a service tower and contract level assigned to you.
  • To fully support the service tower, contract and sales senior management teams for contract bid and account development opportunities, building extensive financial models for your assigned contracts and Towers.
  • To fully support the Liberata Financial Hub team providing them with necessary information for them to ensure timely updates to process financial transactions.
  • Responsible for financial planning, monitoring, and reporting for projects for your assigned service tower, contract or financial teams to deliver project goals.
  • Delivering meaningful and accurate financial analysis, collaborating with senior leadership, and driving efficiencies and cost savings.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

  • Qualified accountant with at least 5 years PQE Local Government and Central Government contract experience essential.
  • Fluent at working to a strategic level in a large multi-service organization.
  • Experience of collaborating, advising and challenging senior management teams on strategic and financial issues.
  • Previous exposure to business planning processes, systems and controls, performance management and change management.
  • Experience at all forms for performance reporting at all levels.
  • Experience in operating in a matrix environment with multiple stakeholder requirements.

Security vetting and checks:

All successful candidates must meet the government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). External candidates: The BPSS includes a basic criminal record check (for unspent convictions). There will also be an Adverse Financial Check (AFC) which will be renewed annually. An Adverse Finance Check looks for CCJs, IVAs, bankruptcies, Scottish decrees, or Administration Orders. Internal candidates: An annual adverse finance check will be required. If you do not meet these requirements, your offer may be withdrawn.
