The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
To carry out planned and reactive maintenance to all services, grounds and vehicles ensuring that all Health & Safety, regulatory and company standards are met.
At Progress Housing, you will work with extraordinary people who achieve fantastic successes. Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Inspect and evaluate contract services.
- Coordinate with managers, instructors, and others to provide equipment and materials needed within the care home environment.
- Source and purchase good quality supplies and materials whilst being cost effective.
You will be working in an environment that supports service users with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and associated complex health needs, to live the life they want to within our services. You will support the managers of these services by ensuring a safe environment for the service users, scheduling repairs and maintenance so there is minimal disruption to the service users.
You will respond to emergency repair situations immediately considering health and safety requirements and solutions for repairs or replacements. You will need to perform skilled duties in the operations, maintenance, and repair of buildings and grounds areas.
About You
- You will be kind, compassionate, empathetic and comfortable to work in a care home environment.
- You will ideally have knowledge of maintaining and repairing electrical and plumbing systems.
- You will ideally be comfortable to assist with painting and decorating, plumbing and carpentry work, maintaining electrical equipment and fire alarm testing as required.
- You will be able to perform preventive maintenance on equipment and building facility systems.
- You will undertake regular checks for leaks within the water and for proper operation of boiler, water heater, furnace and refrigeration.
- You will report any potential hazards to the Registered Manager.
- You will maintain gardens in line with health and safety regulations.
- You will be willing to take on any additional responsibilities on behalf of the service as instructed by the facilities manager.
- You will have knowledge of COSHH requirements.
