Job Overview

Cross‑functional role within Receiving, Stock Room and Shipping.

Supports the receiving, stocking, picking, kitting, and releasing of parts and products used or produced by manufacturing, and shipments to LI‑COR customers.

Responsible for ensuring accuracy, processing, data entry, and delivery of parts and materials internally and externally at LI‑COR.

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift
• Job Qualifications And Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum one year of manufacturing‑related experience.
• Desired: previous experience in a Stock Room, Warehouse, Cycle Counting, or Picking/Packing role.
• Desired: experience with computer data entry.
• Evidence of high accuracy with parts, numbers, and transactions.
• Forklift certification and/or working knowledge of forklift operation is required.
• Must meet physical requirements of the position.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record (minimum 3 years).
• Excellent physical dexterity and motor skills for handling, sorting, and counting small parts.
• Vision: close vision and ability to distinguish colors.
• Good reading comprehension and oral communication skills.
• Basic arithmetic understanding.
• Strong attention to accuracy and ability to reconcile discrepancies.
• Dependable, cooperative, good attendance, professional representation of LI‑COR.
• Roles And Responsibilities
• Receiving
• Examine items against part numbers, reconcile discrepancies.
• Pull samples according to Sampling Plans.
• Inspect parts for defects and initiate Non‑Conforming Material Reports.
• Count items, compare to vendor count, reconcile discrepancies.
• Route parts to appropriate personnel per computer records.
• Pack/unpack items for stocking, label and deliver to stock room or work cells.
• Perform receiving computer transactions.
• Unpack and inventory instruments and accessories received for repairs or service.
• Deliver items promptly (dry ice, overnight, rush).
• Recycle cardboard boxes and operate compactor.
• Stock Room
• Pick and kit parts for work orders, ensuring accuracy.
• Maintain organized, labeled stock shelves.
• Perform issue and receipt computer transactions.
• Conduct inventory cycle counts, verify computations, adjust errors.
• Handle stock adjustments from change orders.
• Receive and stock assemblies from work orders.
• Label items with tags, stamps, or marking tools.
• Ensure proper rotation and inspect for wear or defects.
• Move pallets/containers to designated locations.
• Coordinate delivery of raw parts to local businesses.
• Package and ship non‑conforming and defective parts to suppliers.
• Shipping
• Accurately stage, pick, pack, crate, label, and ship customer orders and service/repair orders.
• Ensure shipment accuracy, data entry and maintain serial number log.
• Comply with shipping carriers’ requirements, DOT and IATA regulations; certification within first year.
• Determine shipment method, packing materials, and methods as required.
• Affix required labels for dangerous goods, hazardous, fragile, and stacking restrictions.
• Interpret packing slips and pick lists, enter data into LI‑COR MRP and carrier systems.
• Complete bills of lading and handle shipping forms.
• Estimate weight and calculate shipping costs.
• Maintain packing and shipping equipment.
• General
• Assist in other department functions as needed.
• Operate all material handling equipment: carts, dollies, hand jacks, forklifts.
• Ensure exterior doors and access points are secured.
• Maintain supplies and requisition replenishment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, orderly work environment per policies.
• Coordinate online pickups of parts to suppliers via LTL truck lines.
• Manage trash, pallets, recyclables for pickup.
• Restock copier paper for departments.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
