The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We are working with an onshore and offshore fine chemicals company. Their chemical products serve the oil and gas, transport, marine and hygiene markets. They are seeking a Sales Executive for a field-based role covering a territory in Inverness and the surrounding area.
You will work primarily with onshore customers, travelling regularly to support them in their need for fine chemicals. This will involve attending meetings daily, some of which can be very short while others may take more time. You will visit industrial parks and areas with prospective/new companies, taking opportunities to engage with potential customers.
The role will focus on:
- Developing the territory by increasing sales to existing customers and actively seeking new customers through in-person meetings.
- Identifying individual customer requirements and matching chemical products to those needs.
- Constantly seeking opportunities for new business, acting as the friendly face of the company for new customers.
- Achieving monthly order and sales targets as agreed with the line manager.
- Covering allocated area(s) to the required company standards for both established and potential customers.
- Administration and management of allocated area(s) in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Reporting on sales activities using appropriate company documentation.
- Maintaining established and prospective customer records and all equipment in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Attending sales meetings and training courses.
- Ongoing development through regular reading, study, and practice.
- Expanding the number of onshore customers and maintaining regular sales with them.
- Observing company management procedures.
- Optimising face-to-face selling time to maximise effectiveness.
Please note that while the client is involved in the fine chemicals market, formal chemistry education is not essential. The primary drive for success is based on personality skills and personal drive. Prior experience in sales and a proven track record of success are required.
