Permanent role. Reporting to an Operational Director, your role will be instrumental in embedding health, safety, wellbeing, quality, and environmental performance into our operational practices. The focus is on delivering value through a pragmatic, proportionate, efficient, and positive approach.
What You'll Do
- Serving as the Integrated Management System (IMS) Coordinator and primary contact for external auditors.
- Developing and directing the implementation of our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental strategy, aligning with the overarching IMS strategy and objectives.
- Coordinating and leading IMS representatives within relevant business units.
- Establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with business unit Management Teams and preparing comprehensive monthly reports for Operational Directors and the Managing Director.
- Conducting regular IMS compliance risk identification and escalating areas of concern.
- Supporting the business in maintaining external certifications and registrations (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001).
- Promoting a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant working environment while advancing best practice through innovation.
- Maintaining legal registers and evaluating compliance for relevant business units.
- Supporting the business in consistently meeting or exceeding client expectations, including managing the client feedback process.
- Monitoring, analysing, and reviewing divisional IMS performance and trends, identifying initiatives for continuous improvement.
- Acting as the focal point for IMS queries and actions, providing day-to-day direction and guidance.
- Ensuring effective delivery of IMS, including conducting internal audits.
Your Background
- A relevant degree qualification in Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, or an equivalent field.
- Extensive demonstrable working knowledge of managing an IMS in a consultancy environment, encompassing project lifecycle from inception to completion.
- A detailed understanding and application of at least one of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001, with a strong awareness of the requirements of the other two standards.
- Auditing experience, preferably in a multi-disciplinary design consultancy environment, and holding Lead Auditor qualification.
- The ability to prepare comprehensive, clear, and concise reports.
- Are self-motivated, capable of working autonomously, and able to provide strong leadership.
- Demonstrate an ability to develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders throughout the business.
