Are you chemistry qualified (A-level standard or higher) looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced laboratory environment? We are currently recruiting for a QC Analyst to join a well-established chemical company in West Yorkshire on a 3-month fixed term contract.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the laboratory team in managing a high volume of incoming materials that require analysis.
- Perform chemical analysis on raw materials, primarily using HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography).
- Support additional analytical testing using a range of techniques as needed.
- Accurately record and interpret data in line with established QC procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards at all times.
- Work closely with colleagues to meet testing deadlines and project goals.
Your background:
This role is ideal for A-level standard qualified individuals in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline who are seeking industry experience that a short-term contract will provide, or looking to build upon previous lab-based work (e.g., gained through a placement or internship).
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Familiar with laboratory practices and safety procedures, ideally with a strong GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) knowledge.
- Comfortable working with analytical instrumentation, particularly chromatography / HPLC.
- Detail-oriented, methodical, and able to manage time effectively.
- A team player with a proactive and reliable approach.
- Available to start immediately and able to commit to a full-time, 3-month contract.
