The predicted salary is between 52000 - 78000 £ per year.

We are working with a materials testing company which is hiring for a dual-role opportunity. This will cover Quality Systems and Health and Safety in the business which is a small-scale laboratory testing and calibration company where you will be a key individual making changes to processes. This isn't a role simply maintaining standards and processes, but driving changes to these.

The successful candidate will lead and develop Quality Management Systems, this is a UKAS accredited business with hundreds of testing activities carried out. You will play a key role in quality underpinning the activities, growth and services expansions within the organisation. There is also scope to grow into a senior position influencing the business as it grows its portfolio of services.

What you'll do:

  • Quality and Accreditation, full ownership of the Quality Management System (QMS) and managing/developing UKAS accredited calibration and testing activities.
  • Lead UKAS audits and assessments.
  • Monitor Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental performance.
  • Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA).
  • Deliver training and guidance.

Your background:

  • Experience of Quality Management within ISO 17025 and ISO 9001.
  • Experience of working closely with operational teams ensuring quality system practicality, and ensuring value addition.
  • Supporting the business goals while maintaining compliance.
  • Managed and developed UKAS accredited systems for calibration and testing.
  • Regulatory knowledge, able to ensure customer, statutory and regulatory compliance.
  • Ongoing working knowledge of standards, certifications, and accreditation.
  • Experience of engaging with auditors.
