We are partnering with a chemical manufacturer based in Cheshire. They are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their Technical Team.
What You'll Do
- Precision Testing: Executing a variety of technical tests including QC, set speeds, open times, and viscosities.
- Customer Solutions: Carrying out specific technical requests from the CRM to help the sales team provide market-leading advantages to their clients.
- Full Characterisation: Ensuring all products have accurate TDS (Technical Data Sheets) and COAs, while remaining fully compliant with legal and REACH regulations.
- Process Management: Managing the end-to-end QC process, ensuring equipment is calibrated, and keeping the laboratory environment clean and tidy!
- Commercial Support: As your technical knowledge grows, you will support the sales team on-site at customer premises to troubleshoot and demonstrate product performance.
Your Background
We are seeking someone with experience of working in a laboratory environment. Proven experience in report writing and a high level of computer literacy (Word, Excel, Smartsheet). A full UK driving licence is required to enable occasional site visits.
Industry Knowledge (Advantageous): Experience of physical testing such as working with adhesives, coatings, or inks or other fields, using equipment such as Brookfield viscometers or Instron.
The client can also offer flexibility in working hours that may suit individuals seeking to reduce their time at work due to life factors (such as family commitments, approaching retirement, other commitments you may have). They are also happy to offer flexibility in start and finish times.
