Senior R&D Scientist Permanent Middlesbrough/Hartlepool We are working with a fine chemical company working in synthesis of natural fragrance and sensory products. These products go into a range of FMCG products, and its likely youll have some in your house right now as ingredients in shower gels, cleaning sprays, air fresheners etc! The company is a leading business in their field and the role will be to carry out the synthetic chemical activities that lead to products being developed for their clients. They are seeking an experienced synthesis chemist with experience of reaction / organic chemistry who can grow and maintain the products the company manufactures. What youll do: You will research new processes, materials & techniques through literature searches and laboratory work that can be used in the production of new US/EU natural aroma chemicals (or the improvement of existing natural products), and to lead these projects effectively. Scale up reactions to maximum laboratory scale, develop Technology Transfer packs and in conjunction with Quality Control (QC) department develop analytical methods for in process QC and final product testing.
