About the Role

As an Agile Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in fostering agility across teams and driving meaningful outcomes. By focusing on collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement, you will help teams deliver value effectively while nurturing an environment that prioritises adaptability over rigid processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery Leadership

  • Lead the delivery of complex, impactful projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Balance priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure progress across teams.
  • Remove obstacles to enable teams to deliver high-quality outcomes efficiently.

Agile Culture

  • Coach, train, and empower teams to make decisions and own their delivery processes.
  • Encourage collaboration, learning, and accountability within teams.
  • Foster a culture of feedback, experimentation, and incremental improvement.

Team Empowerment

  • Act as a servant leader, enabling teams to self-organise and thrive.
  • Partner with Product Owners to align priorities and ensure clear communication of goals.
  • Support teams in achieving flow, optimising work processes, and maintaining focus on delivering value.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to align expectations and drive a culture of transparency.
  • Clearly communicate delivery progress, risks, and outcomes to ensure alignment and trust.
  • Advocate for iterative improvements across teams, focusing on practices that drive efficiency and satisfaction.
  • Leverage data to identify bottlenecks and refine ways of working without imposing rigid frameworks.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in a delivery-focused role within an Agile environment, emphasising principles over processes.
  • Strong facilitation and leadership skills with a focus on team empowerment.
  • Proven ability to manage complexity, dependencies, and competing priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Familiarity with various agile metrics (flow efficiency, cycle time etc) with a focus on meaningful insights but also with DORA metrics and their application in driving engineering efficiency.
  • A deep understanding of modern software engineering, DevOps practices and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with hands-on experience being highly advantageous.
  • Experience with Developer Experience (DevEx) metrics such as SPACE, DX, etc.
