Lhoist are a successful, international Belgium company that has several sites in the UK. As a manufacturer of high-quality lime and dolomitic lime products we deliver to a widening worldwide market. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Multi Skilled Technician to join our Maintenance team at Whitwell. This role is key to ensuring the smooth operation of site equipment, utilities, and facilities to support continuous production and meet customer requirements.

You will be responsible for carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations, ensuring all site equipment and utilities operate efficiently to support continuous production.

Working Hours

  • The position operates on a regular weekday schedule, with overtime available as required.
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm
  • Overtime available

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations
  • Maintain machinery, equipment, and site utilities to ensure continuous operation
  • Inspect and monitor equipment to ensure compliance with operational standards
  • Support site Health & Safety and environmental systems
  • Diagnose faults and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
  • Assist with improving processes and reducing operational costs
  • Produce accurate reports and maintenance records
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, management, and quality teams

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience (3-4 years) in a similar maintenance role
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills
  • Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and procedures
  • Good problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Experience with SAP systems (desirable)
  • A proactive, reliable, and team-oriented approach
