We have an opportunity for a Financial Accountant/Assistant Financial Accountant to join our Finance team at Hindlow.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a varied and hands-on accounting role supporting financial reporting, statutory compliance, treasury management and business support activities.
The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the business and provide support and oversight to the Sales and Purchase Ledger function.
The level of appointment will reflect the skills, qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned.) Support month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, journals and bank reconciliations.
Maintain the fixed asset register and support IFRS16 accounting and reporting requirements.
Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
Prepare VAT returns (domestic and international) and support wider tax compliance activities.
Assist with statutory accounts, external audits and Group reporting requirements.
Support corporation tax compliance and transfer pricing reporting requirements.
Prepare cash flow reporting and forecasts.
Manage the Concur expenses process and associated financial controls.
Support and oversee Sales and Purchase Ledger activities.
Create ad hoc payments and provide support with payment runs as required.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and working capital reporting.
Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and controls.
Provide occasional cover for other members of the finance team.
What Were Looking For AAT qualified, ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or qualified by experience.
Experience working within a finance or accounting environment.
Strong Excel and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
SAP experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
