We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly team. You will be working as part of the kitchen team, in a beautiful recently renovated 30 bedroom hotel with stunning sea views. The Hotel Victoria is situated in Robin Hood's Bay, a picture postcard village with easy access to Whitby, Scarborough and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, it is an area of outstanding beauty with everything you would expect from living on the coast and making the most of the great outdoors.

The hotel offers excellent dining facilities with a newly refurbished sea view restaurant, stunning cocktail bar and lounge, as well as a large friendly traditional Yorkshire Pub. We also host weddings and various events throughout the year.

You will be joining our passionate, close-knit kitchen team, preparing, cultivating and delivering excellent quality food to our hotel guests and public custom. Our menu is a mixture of popular homemade dishes and seasonally available specials.

Day-to-day:

  • Assisting the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with company standard
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory management
  • Help reduce waste and maintain cost control measures
  • Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work environment
