An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manager - Indirect Tax to join our client in a highly visible, hands-on role within a large, complex organisation. Working closely with the Indirect Tax Senior Manager, you will support the delivery of the indirect tax strategy, provide practical commercial advice and help ensure the business remains compliant in a fast-moving regulatory environment.
You will also gain exposure to the wider indirect tax agenda, including environmental taxes, customs duties, CBAM and Climate Change Levy, providing excellent scope to broaden your technical experience and stay ahead of emerging change. You will play a key role in strengthening internal controls, improving processes and helping to modernise reporting, data and digital tax systems. By working collaboratively with Finance, Shared Services and operational teams, you will help ensure the business is not only compliant today, but well prepared for the future.
This role is based in Warwick, with an expectation of attending the office at least two days per week. Additional flexibility in working patterns can be discussed to support individual needs.
- Provide high-quality indirect tax advice and analysis to support commercial decision-making across the business
- Support VAT treatment for new services, cross-border activities, property income and business operations, helping to optimise VAT recovery
- Assess the indirect tax impact of new legislation and regulatory changes, clearly communicating risks and opportunities
- Assist with compliance obligations across other indirect taxes, including CBAM, Climate Change Levy and red diesel
- Help develop and maintain internal tax policies, guidance and training to strengthen tax governance
- Coordinate responses to HMRC and other tax authority queries, audits and information requests
- Build strong relationships with Finance, Legal, Shared Services, operational teams and external advisers, supporting wider tax projects and risk initiatives
Bonus: Performance-related bonus with on-target earnings of 15% (up to a maximum of 30%)
