A leading global financial services institution is seeking an experienced Legal Contractor to join its EMEA Collateral Management team on an initial Daily-Rate contract through to the end of the year, with strong potential for extension or permanency.
This is a hands-on role supporting the legal aspects of collateralising global markets trading activity, including derivatives, repo, and securities lending transactions.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting client onboarding and documentation within a well-established collateral management function. Working closely with legal, operations, and product teams, you will assess documentation, apply risk frameworks, and support the smooth onboarding of clients. This role sits at the intersection of legal, markets, and operations, and is suited to candidates who enjoy applying commercial judgement in a structured environment.
Key Requirements
- Experience in global markets, including derivatives, repo, securities lending or margin lending
- Qualified Lawyer (3–6 PQE)
- Understanding of collateral management, custody, or prime brokerage
- Ability to assess risk and operate beyond standard playbooks
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Highly Desirable
- Prime brokerage experience
- Experience within an investment bank or custodian
- Exposure to both markets and custody environments

Additional Information
- Start date: ASAP (target early June)
- Location: Manchester/London
