Are you an experienced HR Business Partner ready to shape something new? This is a brand-new role in a high-performing, people-first organisation with a reputation for excellence and innovation.

We’re looking for a confident and capable HR Business Partner with a strong track record (5–8+ years) in matrix organisations to join a growing People Centre of Excellence. You will partner closely with senior stakeholders across the business, playing a key role in enabling and empowering teams, influencing at all levels, and driving the people agenda forward.

This is not an employee relations (ER) role. Instead, it’s your chance to focus on strategic business partnering, people engagement, change support, and organisational effectiveness.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build trusted relationships with leaders, acting as a true strategic partner across the business.
  • Drive the people plan aligned to business priorities and support ongoing transformation.
  • Support and enable stakeholders through organisational change and development.
  • Collaborate as part of a Centre of Excellence in a complex matrix environment.
  • Use your Trade Union experience to manage and foster positive industrial relations.
  • Influence cultural evolution, engagement initiatives and talent development conversations.

  • 5–8+ years’ experience in a HR Business Partner role, ideally within a matrix structure.
  • A proactive, commercially astute HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills – you’re credible and collaborative.
  • Experience working with Trade Unions is essential.
  • Passionate about building capability, driving change, and delivering real impact through people.
