An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate to join a highly regarded and growing Employment practice within an established UK law firm.
As a Senior Associate, you will take responsibility for your own caseload whilst working closely with Partners and colleagues across the wider firm. You will have the opportunity to advise a diverse client base on a broad range of employment matters, whilst playing an active role in the continued growth and development of the practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising employers on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Managing your own matters with a high degree of autonomy
- Developing trusted, long-term relationships with clients and understanding their commercial objectives
- Advising clients strategically and providing clear, pragmatic and commercially focused solutions
- Supervising and mentoring trainees and junior lawyers
- Supporting pitches, tenders and client proposals
You are likely to have:
- Strong post-qualification experience in employment law
- Significant experience advising employers across a broad range of employment matters
- Experience from a regional, or London based law firm
- The ability to manage complex matters independently and take a strategic view of client objectives
- Experience supervising, mentoring or developing junior lawyers and trainees
- A strong understanding of commercial and financial targets
- Excellent drafting, communication and presentation skills
- A proactive approach to business development and client relationship management
Essential Qualifications:
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a current practising certificate
- Law degree (2:1 or above), or a non-law degree followed by the GDL/LPC route
