About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Financial Accountant to join our growing in-house finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established construction company delivering large-scale projects across Ireland and the UK. You’ll play a key role in shaping financial strategy, supporting project performance, and driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial accuracy
- Maintain and improve internal financial controls
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and statutory reporting
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management
- Review and support bookkeeping work
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent Excel and financial systems knowledge
- Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable (not essential)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
