A well-regarded and growing law firm is seeking a talented Private Client Solicitor (3–4 PQE) to join its expanding Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor looking to work closely with high-net-worth individuals and business owners while playing a key role in the continued growth of the department.
The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative team handling a broad range of quality private client matters, with clear opportunities for progression and increased responsibility.
The OpportunityThis role offers exposure to a varied caseload of complex and high-value private client work, including estate planning, trusts, probate, and succession planning matters for HNW clients. The firm is looking for someone who is commercially minded, proactive, and keen to contribute to the long-term development of the team.
Key Responsibilities- Drafting Wills, including complex estate planning arrangements
- Advising on and preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Assisting with trust creation, administration, and advisory matters
- Managing probate and estate administration, including taxable estates
- Advising on asset protection and succession planning for HNW individuals and business owners
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
- Assisting with business development and networking initiatives
- Building and maintaining strong client and professional relationships
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and external advisers
- Qualified Solicitor with 3–4 years’ PQE in Private Client
- Strong technical knowledge of Wills, Probate, Trusts, and LPAs
- Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with strong client care skills
- Commercially aware with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Ability to build long-term relationships with clients and referrers
- Experience supporting junior colleagues is advantageous
- STEP qualification or working towards it would be beneficial
