I’m working with a highly respected national law firm that is seeking to expand its growing Asset Based Lending (ABL) team with the appointment of a Senior or Principal Associate. This opportunity sits within a market‑leading practice recognised for its high-quality work and strong national rankings. The ABL team continues to grow, acting for an impressive range of lender clients and handling some of the most complex and high‑value transactions in the market.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative national banking practice, offering both the support of an established national platform and the chance to influence and shape the local team. The firm prides itself on cross‑disciplinary working, giving you direct access to litigation, restructuring and corporate colleagues, providing clients with a comprehensive service across all aspects of ABL. The team also works closely with the corporate practice to position asset-based lending as a strategic funding solution for acquisitions and refinancing projects, supporting a diverse borrower client base.
Scope of the work
This role offers broad exposure across the entire transaction lifecycle, including:
- Drafting and negotiating facility agreements and security documentation (LMA and non-LMA)
- Negotiating intercreditor arrangements
- Developing and improving precedent documentation
- Acting for both lenders and borrowers on back-to-back transactions
- Managing all aspects of live lending matters
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members
- Supporting lenders with ongoing portfolio work such as waivers, re‑sets and restatements
A consistently strong deal flow ensures regular opportunities for matter ownership, direct client contact and involvement in business development initiatives.
