Join a national pensions practice with a diverse portfolio of clients, including large corporates, public sector bodies, financial institutions, and pension scheme trustees. As a key member of the growing team, you will:

  • Handle a varied caseload covering a broad spectrum of pension-related matters.
  • Advise on all aspects of pension schemes, including employer and trustee support, risk transfer projects, master trusts, and specialist pension arrangements.
  • Work predominantly on standalone pensions matters, with some collaboration across areas such as litigation, regulatory, corporate, commercial, employment, insolvency, and financial services.
  • Develop your expertise across a wide range of pensions law, including specialist areas such as public sector pensions and self‑invested pension arrangements.
  • Work directly with trustees, employers and pension advisers to deliver clear and commercially focused pensions advice.
  • Collaborate closely with senior members of the team, supporting them with complex matters and long‑term projects.
  • Contribute to the development of junior colleagues and support their progression.
  • Take an active role in business development initiatives and client relationship building.

Your Skills & Experience

  • A qualified solicitor with experience in pensions law (typically 2–5 years PQE or equivalent), gained within a pensions‑focused role.
  • Experienced in areas such as self‑invested pension schemes and small scheme advisory work.
  • A proactive thinker with strong analytical, communication and organisational skills.
  • Capable of delivering concise, practical advice while recognising the commercial context of client needs.
  • Commercially aware, enthusiastic about business development and committed to staying informed about legal and regulatory developments in pensions.
