This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the intellectual side of employment law and wants to shape how knowledge, training and legal excellence are delivered within a thriving practice.

This would suit an England & Wales–qualified lawyer working in a knowledge/professional support role, or a senior fee‑earner considering a move away from fee targets into a strategic, value‑adding support role.

  • Flexible hours and hybrid working designed around your lifestyle
The Role

You’ll play a central role in driving legal excellence and supporting fee‑earners at all levels. Day‑to‑day, you’ll be involved in:

  • Developing and maintaining precedents and curating high‑quality external resources
  • Designing and delivering internal training, from trainee inductions to junior lawyer development and practice‑wide updates
  • Creating and delivering client‑facing training where appropriate
  • Tracking and interpreting legal developments, explaining their impact clearly and concisely to the team
  • Handling complex employment law queries from lawyers and providing authoritative guidance
  • Ensuring all key materials are captured and accessible within the firm’s internal knowledge systems
  • Collaborating with business services teams to enhance usability and access to knowledge resources
  • Identifying risks and working with the Risk team to ensure compliance and best practice
  • Driving efficiency improvements through process optimisation, legal project management or technology
  • Writing or contributing to legal insights, thought leadership pieces and external publications
  • Supporting tender responses with technical legal input
  • Working with fellow Knowledge Lawyers on the continued evolution of the firm’s knowledge platforms
  • Supporting trainees in developing their research and analytical skills
What They’re Looking For
  • A qualified Solicitor (England & Wales), ideally with 5+ years’ PQE in employment law
  • Excellent drafting skills and outstanding attention to detail
  • A strong communicator who can explain complex issues with clarity
  • Someone comfortable working independently but who also thrives in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • A proactive, solutions‑driven mindset with a genuine interest in knowledge development
  • Familiarity with legal tech and tools that enhance delivery of legal services
