We are seeking an Interim Regulatory & Environmental Lawyer to support a sustained increase in workload across contentious regulatory, environmental and health & safety matters.
The Role
- Advise on a broad range of contentious regulatory and environmental matters, including:
- Environmental regulation and compliance
- Contentious regulatory issues and enforcement matters
- Health & Safety investigations and incident response
- Liaising with regulators and external counsel
- Supporting litigation and dispute‑led matters where required
- Providing pragmatic, risk‑based legal advice to the business
A litigation background (either from private practice or in‑house) is desirable, given the nature of the work.
The Candidate
- Open on background and happy to consider candidates from private practice, in‑house or a regulatory environment.
- Ideally have 5+ years’ PQE (although this is flexible depending on experience).
- Strong experience in contentious regulatory and/or environmental law.
- Exposure to health & safety matters.
- Confidence operating autonomously in an interim role.
- The ability to hit the ground running in a fast‑paced environment.
