Role Overview: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join their dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will provide expert legal and commercial advice, support complex projects, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective legal and commercial advice to various segments and functions.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, including client, supplier, and partnership agreements.
  • Advise on large complex projects, including outsourcing contracts, variations, and disputes.
  • Manage disputes and litigation, providing preliminary advice and instructing external lawyers as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal governance processes.
  • Deliver legal training to business units on commercial and regulatory issues.
  • Collaborate with the legal department to support business development and operations.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Law or equivalent qualification.
  • Qualified solicitor or barrister in the UK or equivalent jurisdiction (PQE guide 5+).
  • Experience in commercial law and contracts, particularly in public sector, supply chain and high-value client-facing outsourcing contracts.
  • Knowledge of public procurement processes and complex structured projects.
  • Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage relationships with internal stakeholders and balance a large workload in a fast-paced environment.
