Legal Counsel

An opportunity has arisen for a driven and commercially minded lawyer to join a growing legal team within a fast-paced, international business. The role focuses on advising across a wide range of commercial and procurement matters, supporting business growth while managing legal risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, supplier contracts (IT and non-IT), and technology contracts.
• Support team members in negotiating and advising on platform-as-a-service and similar commercial arrangements.
• Deliver high-quality, business-focused legal advice with a strong understanding of commercial objectives and risk.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and suppliers, influencing outcomes through clear and pragmatic legal guidance.
• Advise on legal interpretation, internal standards, policies, new initiatives, and broader commercial and regulatory matters.
• Build strong relationships across the business and act as a trusted legal adviser.
• Provide legal training and act as a point of reference for best practices.
• Support process improvement initiatives, including the development of contract templates, playbooks, and workflows.
• Contribute to legal operations, workflow management, and team efficiency.

Requirements

• Approximately 2+ years’ post-qualification experience with a strong grounding in commercial law.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts.
• A confident, pragmatic approach to problem-solving and risk management.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment while delivering high-quality work.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to operate effectively as an individual contributor.
• Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills.
