LHH is supporting a highly regarded organisation seeking an experienced Interim Finance Systems & Operations Specialist to join their finance team during a significant period of systems and operational development. This is a hands-on contract role requiring an individual who can quickly integrate into a complex environment and provide immediate support across finance systems, reporting, controls and operational finance activities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and enhancing Workday Financials, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure reporting outputs, testing activities and finance processes are delivered effectively. You will be involved in finance systems testing, user acceptance testing, data validation and reconciliation activities, ensuring the integrity of financial information across multiple areas of the organisation.

Alongside systems responsibilities, you will support budgeting and forecasting processes, helping to maintain and improve planning models while providing meaningful management information and reporting. You will work with complex datasets, bridging information from multiple sources to produce insightful reporting and analysis that supports decision-making across the business.

The role will also involve reviewing and enhancing finance procedures, controls and documentation to ensure processes remain robust and fit for purpose following ongoing change initiatives. Working within a regulated environment, you will contribute to maintaining strong governance, audit readiness and effective financial controls.

Applicants should be qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong background in finance systems, financial reporting and operational finance. Previous experience working with Workday Financials is essential, particularly in reporting, testing and system support. You will be comfortable working across both technical and finance teams, able to challenge data, identify process improvements and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment.
