Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Sandwell

Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

As the Financial Controller, you will:

• Manage daily finance operations and lead the finance team.
• Oversee cash flow forecasting and management.
• Lead the month-end close process and prepare monthly management accounts.
• Monitor financial risks and controls.
• Manage annual budgeting and year-end close processes.
• Mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• analyse financial processes to identify and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with departments to enhance financial literacy and accountability.
• Engage in ad-hoc duties as needed.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller
• Strong leadership skills with a proactive mindset
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to operate independently and manage multiple tasks

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

• Experience in process improvement initiatives
• Familiarity with financial software and systems
• A collaborative approach to business partnering
