LHH is partnered with a leading steel producer as they seek to recruit an Environmental Engineer to join the team and help raise the bar for environmental standards.
In this hands-on role, you will be the go-to person on the ground for all things environmental β supporting the site teams to stay compliant, reduce risk, and make smarter environmental decisions. You will ensure the legal obligations and site permits are met while monitoring and reporting on key areas like air quality, emissions, water and waste. You will work closely with the Environment Agency and internal departments and get involved in projects that drive long-term environmental improvements.
Weβre looking for someone with a degree in a STEM subject and good knowledge of environmental regulations in the UK. A practical, well-organised approach to your work is important as is strong communication skills and the ability to get on with people at all levels. Experience with ISO 14001, Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR), or having previously worked with the Environment Agency before is desirable however support is available for the right person to build this knowledge.
