An organisation operating at national scale is undertaking a significant, multi-year Technology and Advice Transformation Programme, designed to modernise customer journeys, improve system resilience, and enable more efficient, future-ready operations.
To support this ambition, we are seeking a Technology Transformation Lead to take end-to-end ownership of the technical delivery and underlying architecture of this critical programme. This role is central to translating strategic objectives into well-engineered, scalable technology solutions that can stand the test of time.
As Technology Transformation Lead, you will lead the technical design and delivery across multiple programme workstreams, working hands-on with architects, engineers, product specialists, and delivery teams. You will be responsible for ensuring that solutions are architecturally sound, well-integrated, and aligned to agreed technology standards and long-term platform strategy.
You will provide technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle, from early architectural design and solution shaping through to build, integration, and deployment. Working closely with senior stakeholders and external delivery partners, you will guide cross-functional teams using modern engineering and delivery practices, balancing speed of delivery with robustness, security, and maintainability.
This role requires a strong technical engineering background, with experience designing and delivering complex technology solutions within large-scale transformation programmes. You will bring a deep understanding of system architecture, integration patterns, and modern technology stacks, alongside experience working in product-led or agile delivery environments. The ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and to influence at senior level, will be essential.
