We are working with a large organisation to appoint an Interim Employment Lawyer on a day rate contract basis for 12 months.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week in a UK office.

The successful candidate will provide practical, up-to-date employment law advice across a range of advisory, ER and project-based matters. The role requires someone who can operate confidently in a fast-paced, stakeholder-facing environment.

Key requirements:

  • UK qualified lawyer (England & Wales)
  • Current and demonstrable experience in UK employment law
  • Strong advisory capability with the ability to manage complex matters independently
  • Experience working in-house and/or with large, complex organisations preferred

The role:

This is a fully hands-on employment law role within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The team covers the full spectrum of employment law work, including:

  • Employee relations and complex grievances
  • Litigation support
  • Compliance matters
  • Transactional and outsourcing work – particularly TUPE, HR schedules, and indemnity provisions (this is a key requirement)

This is an interim assignment on a day rate, suited to contract lawyers available at short notice.
