Aim of Role: As the Credit Control Manager, you will spearhead our cash collection efforts, managing a team of 10 credit controllers. Your leadership will be crucial in reducing aged debt and ensuring timely payments across our diverse client accounts. Collaborating with key stakeholders, you will drive performance and create a culture of excellence within the finance team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of 10 credit controllers, providing mentorship and guidance.
- Generate and analyse reports from our ERP system
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to share updates on aged debt and collection actions.
- Conduct weekly reviews and provide regular updates on collection progress across all regions.
- Build strong relationships with clients through effective communication, enhancing cash collection.
- Manage cash receipts forecasting and allocate cash receipts accurately.
- Coordinate debt recovery actions and resolve queries proactively.
- Liaise with the Group Finance team to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Implement and manage the Dunning Process and escalation procedures for improved efficiency.
- Lead integration efforts for credit control tasks related to new acquisitions.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Credit Control Manager
- Strong background in collaborating with various finance departments.
- Essential team management experience, fostering a productive environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables and lookups; familiarity with SAP is desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to challenges.
- Experience managing change within finance and the wider business is desirable.
- Prior experience in integrating acquisitions is a bonus.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders across multiple locations effectively.
