Job Title: Locum Commercial Property Solicitor (7+ PQE)
Location: Greater Manchester (Hybrid/Office-based options available)
Contract Type: Locum (3–6 months)
Hourly Rate: c. £50–£55 per hour (DOE)
Overview
Our client is a well-established and respected law firm based in Oldham, that are seeking an experienced Locum Commercial Property Solicitor to support its busy Commercial Property team during a period of increased demand. This is a flexible locum position for an initial term of 3 to 6 months, with the potential for extension.
The successful candidate will manage a broad caseload of commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, and landlord and tenant work. This role is ideal for a solicitor who can work independently and deliver high-quality service to a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
Handling commercial property transactions including sales, purchases, and leases
Advising landlords and tenants on lease negotiations and renewals
Managing property finance and development matters
Conducting due diligence and reviewing title documents and contracts
Liaising with clients, agents, and other professionals
Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Candidate Profile
Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 7+ years PQE in Commercial Property law
Strong technical knowledge of commercial conveyancing and leasehold matters
Ability to manage a full caseload with minimal supervision
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
Availability to start at short notice
