A growing, multi-entity organisation operating in a fast-paced environment. The focus is on strengthening financial control, improving reporting consistency, and driving enhanced visibility and ownership of financial performance across the business.

This is a key finance role with primary responsibility for the control, integrity, and performance of the group P&L. You will lead the month-end close process, ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent reporting, while delivering clear insight into variances, risks, and performance drivers.

Managing a small team, you will embed strong financial discipline across the business, with a particular focus on cost control, budget ownership, and accountability. You will strengthen balance sheet control while ensuring that P&L reporting is robust, transparent, and fully understood by both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

The role also involves driving standardisation across entities, improving processes, and reducing manual effort, while supporting senior stakeholders with meaningful financial insight to aid decision-making and performance improvement.

Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Strong experience in management and financial accounting
  • Proven track record of owning and controlling a P&L
  • Experience within a multi-entity environment
  • Strong month-end close and reporting experience
  • Excellent P&L and balance sheet understanding with a control-focused mindset
  • Ability to deliver insightful variance analysis and challenge performance
  • Strong cost control focus with the ability to enforce budget ownership
  • Experience managing and developing finance team members
  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to influence non-finance teams
  • Experience improving processes, controls, or reporting efficiency (desirable)
