The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a
Senior Accountant to join their growing team in Chester.
Working closely with managers and directors, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with clients and provide tailored accounting and business advice.
- Support clients in streamlining their accounting processes and improving efficiencies.
- Prepare year-end statutory financial statements.
- Calculate corporation tax and personal tax liabilities, identifying tax planning opportunities where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with managers and colleagues across the business to deliver an excellent client service.
- Develop a strong understanding of clients' businesses and provide a proactive, value-added service.
- Mentor, coach, and support junior team members and trainees.

The successful candidate will be a proactive and client-focused accounting professional with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
Skills & Experience
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
- Experience managing a varied portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Comfortable using cloud-based accounting systems and practice software (experience with CCH would be advantageous).
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative and forward-thinking team environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
