We are partnering with a leading technology organisation on a hire for a Legal Counsel to support their UK operations. You will join the UK and global legal team, providing practical legal advice to business units, management, and staff across multiple sites, while helping implement legal best practice. We welcome applications from existing in-house lawyers as well as private practice solicitors (any In-House secondment would be an advantage).
Key Responsibilities- Advise on the full range of commercial contracts, including procurement, research partnerships, business development, marketing arrangements, NDAs, master service agreements, IP agreements, licensing arrangements, and real estate-related agreements.
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements to support the business across multiple areas.
- Collaborate with the European legal team on matters of regional importance.
- UK qualified solicitor with at least 1 years' experience
- Proven experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Clear, practical communicator who can explain legal issues in plain English.
- Excellent drafting skills and experience creating bespoke agreements.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to work with stakeholders locally and globally.
- Highly organised, able to work under pressure, prioritise competing demands, and deliver solutions.
- Previous in-house experience or cross-border transaction exposure.
- Experience within the Technology or similar sector.
- Understanding of intellectual property (patents, copyright, trade secrets) and data privacy issues.
