The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Interim In-House Commercial Contracts Paralegal to join an established and growing technology business based in Cambridge.

This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially minded paralegal who enjoys working closely with an in-house legal team and wider business, providing practical support across a broad range of day-to-day commercial contracts.

The role offers excellent flexibility, with the business open to predominantly remote working, alongside some ad hoc attendance at the Cambridge office, when required.

The successful candidate will be able to hit the ground running, supporting the business with a range of commercial agreements and helping to manage the day-to-day legal workload from an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.
  • Supporting with Master Services Agreements (MSAs) and other customer and client contracts.
  • Reviewing and negotiating Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
  • Assisting with supplier and procurement agreements.
  • Supporting with Saa S, software and technology agreements.
  • Reviewing terms and conditions, including customer and supplier terms.
  • Assisting with licensing and subscription agreements.
  • Supporting with professional services and consultancy agreements.
  • Assisting with data processing agreements (DPAs) and contractual data protection provisions.
  • Maintaining and updating contract records and supporting contract management processes.
  • Working closely with commercial, procurement, sales, finance and other internal stakeholders.
  • Providing practical, commercially focused legal support and escalating more complex matters where appropriate.
  • Supporting the wider legal team with general commercial and contractual matters as required.

About You

You will ideally have experience of

  • Handling a broad range, drafting and reviewing general commercial agreements.
  • Working with technology-related contracts, ideally including Saa S, software, licensing or IT agreement, would be an advantage.
  • Managing a varied contractual workload and prioritising competing demands.
  • Working with stakeholders across a business and providing pragmatic, commercially focused support.
  • Operating with a degree of autonomy and being comfortable working remotely.
