An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a well-known UK transport and consumer-facing organisation.
This is a commercially focused role responsible for driving the growth of ancillary revenue streams through strategic business development, client relationship management, and commercial negotiations. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, developing partnerships, and delivering sustainable revenue growth across a diverse portfolio of products and services.
The Role
Working closely with senior commercial leadership, you will:
- Develop and deliver business development strategies to drive revenue growth
- Identify, research, and secure new commercial opportunities
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective clients and partners
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and commercial negotiations
- Manage the sales process from initial engagement through to contract completion
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to maximise retention and repeat business
- Review commercial agreements, contracts, and NDAs, identifying potential risks and opportunities
- Monitor performance against targets, maintain CRM records, and provide regular commercial reporting
- Represent the organisation at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities
About You
We're looking for a commercially minded business developer with a proven track record of delivering growth and building successful partnerships.
You will ideally have:
- 5+ years experience in business development, sales, or a commercial role
- Demonstrable success in generating new business and driving revenue growth
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
