LHH is delighted to be exclusively partnering with our client to appoint an experienced Data Protection Lawyer. This is a high-quality opportunity for a commercially minded legal professional seeking a flexible, part-time position within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
This is a part-time position (3 days per week), offered on a fully remote basis, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute strategically while maintaining flexibility.
As a key member of the legal team, you will play a pivotal role in advising on data protection matters and supporting the organisation in maintaining robust compliance with applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Managing and responding to Subject Access Requests (SARs) and other data rights requests
- Handling requests for information from regulators, clients, and stakeholders
- Drafting, reviewing, and maintaining data protection policies and procedures
- Advising on and negotiating data protection provisions within commercial contracts
- Providing clear, pragmatic legal advice on UK GDPR and wider data protection obligations
- Supporting the business with day-to-day data privacy queries and risk mitigation strategies
To be considered for this role, you will:
- Be a UK-qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience, specialising in data protection and privacy law
- Demonstrate strong technical expertise in UK GDPR and associated regulatory frameworks
- Be a team-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment
- Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, practical advice
- Be commercially aware, with a pragmatic and business-focused approach
- Be proactive, solutions-driven, and confident in a client-facing role
