LHH Recruitment Solutions are delighted to be partnering with a respected organisation in Eastbourne to recruit a Recruitment Advisor on a 12-month basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced in-house recruitment professional to join a busy HR team and take ownership of the end-to-end recruitment process across a diverse range of technical, engineering, manufacturing and business support roles.

The successful candidate will play a key role in attracting high-calibre talent, supporting hiring managers, enhancing recruitment processes and delivering an exceptional candidate experience.

The Role

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will act as the recruitment specialist for the Eastbourne site, partnering closely with managers to deliver effective hiring solutions while ensuring best practice, compliance and a strong employer brand. Alongside managing recruitment activity, you will help develop hiring capability across the business, support workforce planning initiatives and contribute to wider HR projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end recruitment across permanent, temporary and contract vacancies.
  • Partner with hiring managers to provide expert recruitment advice and guidance.
  • Coach managers on recruitment systems, processes and best practice hiring techniques.
  • Manage vacancies across direct sourcing, internal recruitment and agency channels.
  • Act as the primary contact for recruitment agencies and manage supplier relationships.
  • Maintain and review the Preferred Supplier List (PSL), ensuring compliance and supplier effectiveness.
  • Support contingent workforce management, including governance and IR35 compliance.
  • Develop proactive sourcing strategies and talent pipelines to reduce agency reliance.
  • Support employer branding initiatives, recruitment campaigns and careers events.
  • Build diverse talent pipelines and support inclusive recruitment initiatives, including STEM returner programmes.
  • Conduct candidate screening, shortlisting and interview coordination.
  • Support competency-based interview processes and ensure a positive candidate journey.
  • Advise on salary benchmarking, offer management and recruitment market trends.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities and ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Support workforce planning, organisational change initiatives and HR projects.

About You

We are looking for a recruitment professional who combines strong operational recruitment expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills. You will have:

  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end recruitment within an in-house environment.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practice, sourcing techniques and assessment methods.
  • Experience managing agency relationships and supplier performance.
  • Understanding of employment legislation relating to recruitment, including IR35.
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment reporting tools.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to influence and challenge stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive and continuous improvement mindset.
  • A passion for delivering an outstanding candidate experience.
