Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a varied People Partner role where you can make a real impact? We are looking for a proactive and people-focused People Partner to join a collaborative People team supporting managers and colleagues across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong employee relations experience, sound employment law knowledge and a passion for delivering a high-quality colleague experience.

As a senior member of the People Operations team, you will play a key role in supporting managers, resolving complex people matters and helping to shape a responsive, compliant and effective People service.

About the Role

Reporting to the People Operations Manager, you will provide practical advice across a wide range of people matters, helping managers to confidently and fairly manage their teams. You will manage employee relations cases, including complex and sensitive matters, while ensuring consistency, compliance and positive outcomes. You will also support People processes, contribute to organisational development initiatives and help drive continuous improvement across the People function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise managers on People policies, procedures and employee relations matters
  • Manage a range of colleague relations cases, including complex and sensitive issues
  • Produce clear and accurate case notes, letters and reports
  • Support managers to build confidence in managing people matters
  • Identify and escalate risks, trends and complex issues appropriately
  • Deliver People processes across the colleague lifecycle
  • Maintain accurate HR records and support reporting requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the wider People team
  • Support People Advisors on more complex cases
  • Contribute to policy development, organisational change and continuous improvement
  • Support recruitment and onboarding activity where required
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
You will ideally have:
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification, working towards CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR or People role
  • Strong experience managing employee relations cases
  • Good practical knowledge of UK employment law
  • Experience using HR systems and maintaining accurate records
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong judgement, professionalism and discretion
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to coach and influence managers
  • A positive, inclusive and empathetic approach
